Petals from the Yoshino Cherry Trees along the eastside bridal path.
Yoshino Cherry Trees, with their white petals, can be seen between the Bridal Path and the Resevoir on the eastside of the Park, between 86th St. and 90th St. and in various other locations. The Yoshino tree was a gift from Japan in 1912 .

April on top of Pilgrim Hill. April is the time that the cherry trees in Central Park are in full bloom. Pilgrim Hill is on the east side of the Park, just south of the Conservatory Water. The statue of a Pilgrim can be seen in the center of the photograph.

Dene Summer House, one of several wooden shelters in the Park, is located at 67th St. near 5th Ave.
This small shelter in the southwest corner of Central Park is called "Cop Cot," which means "little cottage on the crest of a hill" in Scottish. It is built using wooden logs and branches.
Looking up through the top of Cop Cot, one can see the design of the ceiling and the large log hanging from the top.
Pine Tree near Arthur Ross Penetum. This arboretum is located on the north side o f the Great Lawn, near 85th St. The arboretum contains over 600 pine trees, some originating in Japan, Macedonia, the Himalayas and other faraway places.

In April, the the Conservatory Gardens are ablaze with color. This photo is of the north side of the Italian Garden, the middle of the three gardens , located at 104th St. just off 5th Avenue.
The Conservatory Gardens' southern garden is styled after an English perennial garden, containing concentric planting beds, such as the one shown here.
The Conservatory Gardens' northern garden is styled after a French garden, with this sculpture by Walter Schott, the "Three Dancing Maidens," at its center. A cardinal rested at the base of the fountain.
Huddlestone Cascade. In a 40 acre area called the North Woods, near 103rd St., is the Ravine. The Loch is a stream that runs through the Ravine, punctuated by cascades such as this one. This stretch of Central Park was designed by Olmsted and Vaux to evoke the feeling of the Adirondacks.
Alex Da Corta's Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Rooftop Garden, titled, "As Long As The Sun Lasts." Da Corta was born and raised in the United States, but spent time in Venezuela, where Sesame Street's "Big Bird" was blue and was called "Garibaldi." Here, Garibaldi appears to be in the clouds, but the ladder can take him back down to Central Park.
